God has graciously answered a huge prayer. Gabe applied for a Master's Degree program and we just got word last week that HE GOT PICKED FOR IT! It's a Master's in Healthcare Administration in Bethesda, Maryland. It's for two years.. the first year is school and the second year is an internship. It's a controlled tour which means no deployments or TDY's (for all you military folk.. so he will be around all the time. :) He will just focus on the degree and not have to do his military job(physiology) on top of that. We are grateful to God for this opportunity.
While I was ecstatic to hear the news, I began to go to the place in my mind that is supposed to be off-limits. Questions rushed through my mind like crazy. The questions were not bad, but worrying and fretting was.
Where do we live? DC? MD? VA?
Church? ( where, there are hundreds to choose from.)
Rent? buy?
Private/Public schools ( best schools in the nation)/ Home school?
Military move? DITY move ( Do it yourself move)
Live near a metro?
Take vacation before moving or after moving in?
How small is my faith to forget that my God will supply all my needs. He will make all of these things clear. He will lead us in the way that will answer all these questions for MY FAMILY. He will grow me to trust Him even deeper as I walk His way… according to His perfect will. Worrying is off limits! Seeking first His kingdom is right where I need to be.
Matthew 6:25-33
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:8-11
for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.

Now isn't that the truth for us all. So excited ya'll are getting to move closer to home whether we will be here or not. These will be very memorable times in your lives!
Love you! Jo
Kelly,
you sound very excited, although there is a lot to think about. The scripture you are reflecting on is very fitting for this season. Always keep these thoughts close to your heart when things seem stressful and overwhelming, and I believe our Father will provide you and everyone in your home the peace that will sustain you. God Bless, my friend!!
YAY! Can't wait to get you on this side of the country! Praise the Lord for His perfect timing!
