Jingle

Jingle, our new Christmas hamster is loved tremendously! She sure has brought some happy hearts and some sad ones too.

She runs on her wheel often and plays happily in her cage. She also has a new make-shift box with handles that someone made to carry her from room to room. Great job, girls, but not-so-great that Jingle jingles her way right on out through the handles.

She has escaped, or been left sitting on the floor, or jumped out of hands. I am surprised she is not already dead.

She was placed in a purse and put on the floor the first time. Neighbors came to help look. 
Ella Grace announced: "Before we do anything, we need to pray." So they did. Low and behold, there she was spotted-- in the corner near the door. 

I was reading a story to the girls when she escaped from her make-shift box. I just happened to look up while she was running across the kitchen floor and into the corner by the trashcan. "Thank You Jesus!" Susanna passionately shouted. 

I was taking a nap when Jingle made another exit out of someone's hands on to the floor and disappeared. We turned the house upside down looking for her. I thought she was a goner this time for sure. After a long afternoon of searching, Miriam sadly said, " We prayed and God didn't answer." It was an emotional afternoon. As I was closing the pantry door, little Jingle went hiding behind the paper towels. There she was. Stuck in another corner.

We praised the Lord for Him finding her again and then put her in time out for awhile.

I know God is using little Jingle to bless our family in some way. They are learning to pray and praise God through this little creature.

I wonder what corner she will show up in next!

Tonight we sang All Things Wise and Wonderful and thanked the Lord for bringing this little pet to us. I love this song! But most importantly, I love the things God uses to bring glory to Himself. :) Thank You, Lord for Jingle.
