Happy and full

We were excited to hear the news that we would be moving to Florida. On the beach. Year round sunshine. One of the nicest Air Force facilities. It was going to be awesome. We started looking at houses and doing some planning.

Two days later, we learned that our new home would be Mississippi.  REALLY?! Just like that?

Yep. That's how the military rolls.

We had heard stories. We had listened to the comments that plagued our minds with one thought: THREE YEARS IN THAT PLACE? We were not excited and dreading what was ahead.

“I’m so sorry” everyone would say. “It will go fast.”

Then we arrived……

All I can say is THANK YOU GOD each day for choosing this place for us. Never would we have picked it. It’s truly a treasure and definitely a treat for our family. It's a slice of simplicity, slow and sweet.

Being here is knitting us together closer as a family. Gabe’s office is three minutes from our door to his desk. We see him often. Our PE class is a bike ride to the gym and Art is taught by an art teacher who is our neighbor using her talents to teach homeschoolers. Wednesday is date night and we all ride our bikes to the chapel for dinner for Pioneer Club ( like Awana) and when the girls go to their classes, Gabe and I walk across the street to the track and walk for a whole hour. It’s the best date night ever.. and it’s free! We have found a new little routine that has been such a fun little activity.  When we take a break from school at 10, the girls hop on their bikes and off we go to the park and they play while I run.  I love doing it with them because they are my little encouragers. J There are so many more little perks but these are the ones that have been really special for our family.

As always, God knows what He is doing and He always does what is best.   I love moments like these when I feel Him smile and say--- “Keep trusting. Your life is in My hands. I am taking care of you.”

I am so thankful and content to be in Columbus, Mississippi. My heart is happy and full.
