Ella Grace- "Mom, tonight when all the other children were singing ( at church) I decided not to sing out loud and just pray in my heart that Miriam would not be sad in her class and that she would not be lonely. And I can tell He answered my prayer because she is happy."
Ella Grace to Miriam and Susanna while playing-- "Please will you share?" ( a doll) "Do you know why we share? It's because Jesus shares His love with us so we share with eachother."
Miriam at lunch--"Can I pray now?" ( Shocking, because she never wants to.)
Miriam to Susanna-- "Susanna, I love God. Do you love God?"
Miriam to us tonight-- " A boy in my class was being mean to me but I didn't back. I did the right fing."
Susanna when we get her in the morning--"God loves Susanna. Jesus loves Susanna. Susanna not scared airplane." ( loud helicopters have been flying over our house constantly this week)
Susanna to me as Miriam was crying-- "Me pray (for) Miriam."
Ella Grace-- "When I listen to God, my heart tickles."
I know these little conversations may not mean much for anyone else except to us. But I wanted to capture in my own heart growth in my children's hearts since lately I've have been focusing on the negatives in their lives. God reminded me of the process He takes us all through to make us who He wants.
We are growing little plants in a greenhouse and every morning they have gotten bigger. We can't see them growing, but we can trust that they are and will continue to grow into beautiful flowers. Same for us.
Process. Growth. Even if it's little, its A LOT to me. It's eternal growth. The best, most important kind.
Thanks to God for pointing this out to me. I sure do love these children.

Kelly, This is absolutely precious! I've loved reading your thoughts on your blog and you've inspired me to put more Scripture and what God is teaching me on mine- so much easier to look back on. Thanks for sharing this bit of your sweet family!
