Here's a good recipe! When I was reading Proverbs 2 this morning, these verses stuck out to me so freshly... the Lord knew my deep desire to see Him and know Him better this year. ( as He does for ALL of His children. :) Here's to victorious living and knowing our Savior more intimately. He is worthy to be praised!
Proverbs 2:1-6, 10
(the ingredients)
"If you
accept my words and
store up my commands with-in you and you
turn your ear to wisdom and you
apply your heart to understanding and if you
call out for insight and
cry aloud for understanding and if you
look for it as for silver and
search for it as for hidden treasure”
(the desired result)
“then you will
understand the fear of the Lord and
find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul."
The cry of my heart this year, as Job says, is:
"My feet have closely followed His steps; I have kept to His way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread." Job 23:11-12
I am looking so forward to the wisdom, knowledge and understanding the Lord will give in this new year so I can keep His way and treasure His words more than anything else. Now that's one DELICIOUS recipe! Aren’t you glad we can all share it with one another? We can because He gives it generously. Thank You, Lord.
