Today I took the girls to get pictures taken. They were all dressed up in their pretty Christmas attire and hair fixed. I even prayed and asked the Lord to help us have a really nice one. I should have known better than to do this by myself! No one would sit still, Susanna kept falling off the table, Miriam wouldn't smile, Ella Grace was thirsty.... The photographer had no patience and her helper was out, so needless to say, the whole thing was a flop. Not one picture turned out so I didn't get any. I was sad about that but then figured it really didn't matter anyway since we aren't even sending a Christmas card out. Figured I would try some other time.
On the way into town, my heart was tickled when Ella Grace said-
"Mom, I know something."
"What's that?"
"I know that God loves me VERY much. and He is helping me to learn fings" ( things)
"Oh, like what?"
Letters, songs, words and fings like that. He is making me to be smart."
What ticked me the most was seeing her child-like faith. She gave Him the glory for helping and teaching her! A life lesson for me: May I continue to see His hand on all the ways He helps and teaches ME!
As soon as I got home, I heard a knock at the door just as I was about to undress the girls. My friend Michelle popped in and she ended up helping me with the kids so I could take their pictures in front of the tree. See how the Lord came through for me? - JUST AS HE ALWAYS DOES! He DID help us get a really nice picture, just as we prayed for.

what a great story about how God worked this out for you. Even more amazing is hearing your little girl talk about God. That must have made your day.
