We are still working on what to do in the middle of the night when Ella Grace wakes up scared. So yesterday at breakfast I read this verse to the girls:
O Lord, I remember you name in the night, and keep your law. This has become mine, that I observe Your precepts. Psalm 119:55-56
I said, "Instead of calling out for Daddy or Mom, the Bible says to call on the Lord. So when you wake up, just talk to God about being scared. Tell Him how you feel and He will comfort you. You can trust Him." We even practiced it. We did the whole case scenario thing so we could put it into practice at night. Then Gabe and I reminded her this truth again before bed.
Last night at 11:00 we heard, "LORD!!! HELP!!!" She went back to sleep.... until 1:00 and then we started all over again. Argh... But, it's still progress. Thank You, Lord.

this must be trying for you, as it would be for me because our natural instinct is to run in and comfort. I'm going to pray for you and your daughter about this.
