New Perspective

Proverbs 2:1-8

1My son, if you will (A)receive my words
And (B)treasure my commandments within you,
2(C)Make your ear attentive to wisdom,
Incline your heart to understanding;
3For if you cry for discernment,
Lift your voice for understanding;
4If you seek her as (D)silver
And search for her as for (E)hidden treasures;
5Then you will discern the (F)fear of the LORD
And discover the knowledge of God.
6For (G)the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a (H)shield to those who walk in integrity,
8Guarding the paths of justice,
And He (I)preserves the way of His godly ones.

What are the commands for me in discovering the knowledge of God in my life, in my circumstances? The Word says that He is the One with the wisdom and He gives it-- from His OWN MOUTH comes knowledge and understanding!( v6) I broke it down this morning and wrote it out-- I want to post it real big somewhere and stick it in my car, in my bathroom, at the sink-- so I can have His Word hidden in my heart AND that I would have a battle plan in turning to Him when I need wisdom!

1. Receive His words
2. Treasure His commands
3. Listen to wisdom ( not others, not myself, not the world)
4. Incline my heart to Understanding
5. Cry ( Beg, plead) for Wisdom
6. Lift my voice to Understanding
7. Seek wisdom as silver
8. Search for wisdom as for Hidden treasure

This all takes persistence, hard work, and discipline. I must EARNESTLY search for wisdom. I know that I am not searching hard enough! I am definately not seeking wisdom as I would for a hidden treasure. Lord! I want to treasure Your commnads more than anything. Help me to treasure them MORE and MORE each day. I believe that when I do, the listening, inclining my heart, crying out, lifting my voice, seeking and searching FOR YOUR WISDOM will be fresh and new. Thank You for this new perspective.
