Almost one week ago tomorrow, God brought Susanna Jane into our lives. She is our third daughter- so little and tiny and so delicate.. just like a mother's touch. She is beautiful. Gabriel and I are basking in a house full of squealing little girls who are so tickled by this new "present" from God. We know that the adjustments and the sleepless nights will pass and one day we will be in a home full of teenagers-- and we know the time will come before a blink of an eye. We have been trying to encourage one another more regularly when the pressures are on of managing three children under three years and smiling when we want to scream! Needless to say, we are delighted and grateful to God for this new season of life and most of all for sweet Susanna.. whose name comes from Luke 8:1-3. It's what we desire in a daughter (this is true for all of them) that Susanna will love, serve and support Jesus Christ with every thing she is and all she has; that she will walk with Him from an early age, selflessly and passionately living for Him.
1After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
