Teaching obedience to my children is constant, as it is for all parents. We talk about obeying and disobeying daily and as I had my quiet time this morning, God faithfully brought me back to the question He often asks me - "How are you doing in this area, Kelly?" It's great to be in check and re-evaluate my motives, thoughts and actions in obedience. I confessed I hadn't been doing so well in some areas and I needed His help. Ella Grace and I prayed this morning for obedient hearts to follow God's commands for our day today. I then asked her to make her bed and she said, "I will (am) happy to obey Mom." I love how God used her willing spirit to make me want to be more obedient to My Heavenly Father. Here is what I will be meditating on today and will certainly be sharing at our Bible time this morning. :)
Proverbs 4:4 he taught me and said,
"Lay hold of my words with all your heart;
keep my commands and you will live.
1 Corinthians 7:10
Keeping God's commands is what counts.
