Today after Miriam woke up, I took the girls out in the back yard and filled up our sandbox/pool with water. Usually, Miriam can last for five minutes and then wants me. But today, she wanted to play with her sister, side by side the whole time for about half an hour. I gave them each a small lollipop and they sat eating them giggling back and forth. Ella Grace was sharing, so that made me even happier. :) Typically, they don't play together. They play side by side or Ella Grace will do her best to stay away from Miriam, who tries to take her toys. Today was a day where they both enjoyed one another's company. It was a very sweet moment. I just sat and watched and praised God for our girls. It's easy for me to get wrapped up in the day to day teaching and training that I miss the moments like these. I guess it's also the realization that they are growing up and will soon be young women- not little ones requring so much of their mama. I was reminded to soak up every moment that God gives me with my kids and just relax. I am blessed.
Also, Ella Grace has learned how to say her sister's name. It's no longer Minimum. It's Miwiam. :) Joy.
