This morning, two little ones were having a really hard time settling down, listening, being kind and patient, all that. I wished my day could just rewind or fast forward. I needed a change of scenery (and another cup of coffee) or just some intervention... NOW.
I called on My Helper and a song popped into mind,a bluegrass hymn called Go With God. I wondered where God wanted me to go in this moment. Then I knew. I took the little one who was completely melting down into the garage and we hopped on the treadmill. We walked on it for awhile and we talked about going where God leads us... walking with Him. I pushed stop and we both nearly fell off the side, but then we hopped right back on to continue walking. I told her that when we "get off track" we just need to ask Our Helper to help us get back on and keep moving ahead. We need to keep in step with the Spirit.
Suddenly, the other two joined us, taking turns "Going with God" on the treadmill. There was some serious exercising going on! ( Isn't the the truth when we are walking in the Spirit God's way?! It's never with out some sweating!)
