Joy in the Gift

Here are some joys of Christmas. It's so fun to go back and re-live each moment and cherish all over again this holiday season. We were able to spend lots of family time with one another and have a "slow pace" few weeks. As I've reflected on Christmas and the fun, the activities, plays, goodies, treats, the gifts, I am reminded that all of these things indeed bring JOY to our hearts and faces but the JOY is so much GREATER when we remember WHO gives us this JOY and WHO we are celebrating.

As we were opening another Christmas gift delivered in the new year yesterday and smiles were huge, my heart was bursting to share truth with them once again about the Greatest Gift we will ever have. It far outweighs any box to open with the wrapping paper and bows.

"When you smile big like that and get all happy inside-- that is how God feels when we come to Him and let Him be our GIFT. All of these gifts are little glimpses of His JOY unwrapped in your heart."

It was a small moment in time to say these things and the words may not have been heard or taken in--but I do know the seed fell and is being planted. Take root, Lord. Keep planting Your Word and revive Your Truth in our hearts.

May we chose JOY.

Jesus, You are our GREATEST GIFT.
