Psalm 62 (v
1-2, 5-6, 7-8)
1 Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
This
Psalm is such refreshment to me. I am reminded that NOTHING will ever give my
soul rest or hope unless I am walking with God, keeping my focus on Him,
dwelling in His presence, turning to Him when I feel like turning to this world
or my own way, and pouring my heart out to Him.
Life is
busy and full.. always. Sometimes I forget to rest my soul. When I slow down and truly gaze upon
His beauty and let Him captivate my soul, I am filled with that peaceful rest
He longs to give His children.
Lord,
thank You for being the One True Refuge. You take me away from the cares of
this world and You bring peace like a river to my soul. There is no place I
would rather be than walking with You.
