Today our message at church (Covenant Life Church www.covlife.org) was especially encouraging. Our Pastor Joshua Harris preached from 2 Timothy 1:8-18. It was on embracing suffering and not giving up in the midst of it. He reminded us of how easy it is to become slack and complacent rather than fight the good fight. "Don't grow slack in your pursuit of Jesus" he urged us. Ouch.
"By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you." 2 Timothy 1:1.
We are being pulled away from Jesus with so many distractions in our lives. The world seems to offer so much but it's empty. I want to guard the precious Savior and all that He does and gives in my life. These three points really spoke to my heart, so I am sharing them today.
1. Remember how we were saved.
2. Remember Whom we believe(d).
3. Remember that God empowers our work.
Grace upon Grace. Thank You Jesus.
