Attitudes and Work Habits

In school we have been talking about two topics each day:

Our Attitude and Work Habits:

Our attitude:
Can be characterized by how we initiate service( or don't) and helping others.

The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life... Matthew 20:26-28

Our work habits:
Can be characterized by how we are serving. Are we serving ourselves? or are we truly serving God?

Serve wholeheartedly as if you were serving the Lord, not men.... Ephesians 6-8

Ella Grace had to get a mole removed. She was very anxious. Miriam and Susanna both lived out these verses today as they encouraged their sister to "keep praying" and drawing pictures for her, holding her hand and giving her kleenex for her tears AND kleenex for the spot where her tooth fell out on the way in to the doctor. It's a small thing, but it really blessed me to see them apply God's Word to their lives.

My heart was pricked as I realized how the easy road is to always serve myself. Make me a servant like You, Lord, truly giving my life for others. Loving You and loving others-- Thank You for showing me my desire to be more like You as You reveal Yourself in the hearts and actions of my children. I want to LIVE OUT and APPLY YOUR WORD to my life. Help me do this, O Father.
