It's hard to believe that in 13 days the movers will be here packing up our home and we move into temporary housing until we drive away from Alamogordo, NM on May 26. Living in DC will be a whole new way of life.
Can it really be so that 5 and a half years ago we drove to this dry desert land in the middle of not-much-of-anything? I had no idea that this would be a full life filled with many blessings---in such a barren place.
I am going to miss it here! The beautiful sunny days, the sunsets, the simplicity of a small town with no traffic, our church, bible studies, sweet friends, the tiny zoo, the "trip" to town, hearing the National Anthem and Taps every day and night, memories of life with 3 little ones sun tanned all year round because it never rains........
There is a new life ahead and I know that God has all the details figured out--that I don't have to. Thank You Lord. It's hard to imagine anywhere else at the moment, but I want to be ready for this next place and all the Lord has for my family.
I'm thankful to God for a fruitful five+ years and excited for the unknowns ahead.
