All was quiet this morning. Noone was awake yet. All I could hear was the sound of the air conditioner coming on. I was sitting on the couch reading my bible enjoying the silent moments.
Silence broke.
"Hey Mom. Can I come and listen to you read the bible? Will you read it outloud to me? and can Spike listen too?" ( He is our pet lizard.)
With my daughter on my lap and Spike on hers, we read God's Word together.
Then I prayed God would give her a deep love for His Word so she, too, will want to wake up and read it for herself. He is certainly at work in her little heart!
I'll treasure this moment forever. May our girls keep growing to love Him and serve Him all the days of their lives.
