MORE OF HIM

I've been asking the Lord to show me things to change this year or things to start new and fresh. I decided my list was atleast a mile long, so I opted for a better plan. In the middle of my "things" I was jotting down, it occured to me that the LORD is bigger than all these "things!" What I asked Him was "HOW am I to be more patient, more giving, more trusting of You, more productive with my time, more focused on You in my thoughts, more disciplined, and so on.......????

"MORE OF ME"

I get it. It's not about the "things" or even being changed. It's simply MORE OF HIM. LESS OF ME.

"Lord, how?"

1. MORE OF THE WORD- BE READY FOR BATTLE! (more scripture memory so I can dwell on the TRUTH and so I can be ready to give satan his eviction notice. So take that, enemy!)I am determined to memorize a new scripture per week. If I have to carry a note card around all day, I will.
2. MORE PRAYER by being MORE of a pray-er! I am determined to use my exercise time as specifially for praying rather than listening to music. It will be a huge challenge, but I am willing.
3. MORE ACTION- Apply what I know from the Word to my life.. Practice it! Live it! Do it! How to measure this one? I need to re-evaluate periodically or ask someone to help me with accountability. At the end of each month, I will set aside a day for reflection. I hope this helps me stay on track. Obviously, the Lord will make it clear to me if I am living His Word out. :)Thank You, Lord, that it's always meant to grow me.

I am excited about what lies ahead for this new year!

Oh, for grace to trust Him MORE!
