Sweet Note

I got a letter from a dear elderly friend yesterday. It was such an encouragement to me. Here was what blessed me so much:

"I pray that Our Lord will give you His strength and His wisdom for each task. I haven't forgotten those days of small children, house work, meals to prepare, etc. It's all so worth it and I'm sure He is going to ( and is) giving you His full attention. Praise His Name. Just remember our God can turn our sorrows into joy, our distresses to deliverance, our trials to triumphs, and our problems to praise!"

I needed those words yesterday because I wondered how I would get through the day. I was weary. I was not feeling well. Dishes were piled up, my feet kept sticking to the floor from a honey spill, I had laundry in a mound on the floor......I just wanted to sleep my day away! These words came at the perfect time. How I love the body of Christ and how my friend sat and listened to God on my behalf. May I do the same for others and do as my friend did... point me to Christ. Nothing else will make our days better and more abundant.
