Psalm 34:1
I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
What a difference it makes in my heart to have His praises CONTINUALLY in my mouth! It starts from my thougths and what is upon my heart. Everything can be turned into a praise, can't it? This morning I have an overwhelming desire for more of a thankful and grateful heart towards my Father-- no new circumstances, just more of a heart to please Him and not this world. I have Jesus as my Savior and He is enough, more than I need, all I crave.
I needed this impacted on my heart in a big way today because I have begun to see what is continually in my mouth- words and thoughts of myself and too much of this world. I wonder if this is why my kids seem more needy and cranky. I really do see a trend in my attitude and their behavior! I've become comfortable the past few days and needed His nudge to be more of a thankful, humble servant.
As it says in 2 Timothy 4:6:
6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering...
I am ready to be His offering and am looking forward with great joy all that He holds in His hand for this day.

What a great reminder today! There is no better way to combat grumbling and complaining than to with PRAISE!! That will help me today!
Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name.
